Receives Patent for Broadband Integrated Design
Wizard

Instruments Corporation is pleased to announce that a US
Patent has been issued for their Broadband Integrated
Design Wizard, a unique web-based system used to design
and configure test equipment.
The Design Wizard
was developed to assist customers during the
specification and development phase of microwave
subsystem design, while also providing a streamlined
process for automatically creating the documentation
necessary for long-term support of the product. By
combining a powerful web-based search engine with an
intuitive graphical configuration utility, developers
can quickly create a custom assembly with the look and
feel of a standard commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS)
product.

delivers time and money savings previously unavailable in the
electronic test market place, greatly reducing development
costs and time to market." said Jon Semancik, VTI's Director
of Marketing. "Its capabilities are so unique and powerful
that VTI has been recognized with the award of US Patent
20100064763."
The Broadband Integrated Design Wizard
utilizes an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) that
guides users through the design process. Once the design is
complete, custom graphical web-based front panels are
automatically generated by the wizard, permitting the
equipment to be monitored and controlled from anywhere in the
world. Additionally, interconnect diagrams for simplified
path-level programming, bills of material, and fully
documented wire lists are also created for repeatable product
fabrication.
These capabilities are combined with a
best-in-class sourcing database, the only knowledge base of
its kind in the world, to offer exceptional flexibility and
freedom of choice. VTI's relationships with leading component
suppliers allow customers to select from an extensive library
of components, download data sheets and compare
specifications, access hundreds of technical notes, and
utilize engineering charts and calculators. When combined,
