Rigol DNA800: an accessible entry point for two-port measurements
The Rigol DNA800 series is a two-port «Vector Network Analyzer» (VNA) covering frequencies from 5 kHz up to 14 GHz across its three models, DNA804, DNA808, and DNA814. It is built for the measurements most labs need day to day: antenna return loss, filter response, cable and connector checks, and amplifier characterisation, without the cost or the learning curve of a high-end laboratory VNA. Pricing starts from €2,699, making full S-parameter measurement practical for teams that previously had to book time on a shared, more expensive instrument.
Rigol DNA6000-R: multi-port measurement for more demanding devices
The Rigol DNA6000-R series extends the same measurement principle to two-port and four-port configurations, across models from DNA6082-R up to DNA6202-R, for devices that a simple two-port VNA cannot fully characterise: differential components, multi-port filters, and devices where the interaction between several ports is exactly what needs to be measured. As one of the very latest additions to the Rigol RF range, configuration and pricing for the DNA6000-R series are confirmed directly with ALLdata's engineering team, so that the instrument is matched precisely to the ports, frequency range, and options a given application actually requires.
Rigol RSA800: real-time visibility across the same frequency range
The Rigol RSA800 series complements the two VNA lines with a real-time spectrum analyzer covering 5 kHz to 14 GHz, built to catch transient and intermittent signals that a conventional swept analyzer would miss entirely, as covered in our recent article on real-time spectrum analysis. A built-in tracking generator lets the same instrument also perform scalar component testing, reducing the number of separate boxes a bench actually needs. Pricing starts from €1,899.
Why these three instruments work well together
A VNA and a spectrum analyzer answer different questions, and most RF work eventually needs both: characterising a component's own behaviour with S-parameters, and observing what is actually present in a live signal environment.
