Chroma 61860 Regenerative Grid Simulator AC Power Supply


The Model 61800 regenerative power grid simulator is a 4-quadrant, fully regenerative AC power supply designed to perform tests on commonly used electrical products such as household appliances and electronic devices for industrial use that require a programmable input source.

The 61800 series meets the requirements of smart grid testing and electric vehicle-related test applications, such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology and energy storage systems (ESS) testing; it is also designed to simulate power grid characteristics to test photovoltaic inverters and on-line uninterruptible power supplies.

The current can be sink or source type, delivered continuously by the unit under test to support different types of applications.

In cases where the unit under test delivers current, a dedicated circuit will detect the excess current and send it to the power grid.
