The R&S SMCV100B vector signal generator is a newly developed instrument that can be easily customized via software options to best meet the needs of educational laboratories, R&D labs, as well as for quality control and production testing. It enables the creation of all the latest digitally modulated signals according to the latest standards, such as those of 5G NR cellular networks in the extended FR1 frequency band up to 7.125 GHz. Thanks to the modulation bandwidth of 240 MHz, it enables the creation of signals of all the latest Wi-Fi communication standards, as well as those typical of the IoT(Internet of Things) mondp or from GNSS satellite tracking systems or for broadcasting DVB-T2 and DVB-S2X television signals.The built-in arbitrary waveform generator, programmable directly or via the R&S WinIQSIM2 simulation software, enables the creation of any type of customized modulated signal .

The instrument is customizable via software via option activation codes : for example, it can extend the working frequency from the basic 3 GHz ( mandatory SMCVB-B103 option included ) ) up to 6 GHz or 7.125 GHz, expand the RF modulation band up to 250 MHz, boost the RF output level up to 23 dBm, increase the RF streaming frequency up to 60 MHz (75 Msymbol/s) or the arbitrary waveform generator memory from 64 Ms to 1 Gs.
