Description
Description
The R&S®RTB 2 oscilloscope provides the key specifications that make it a versatile tool for engineers and teachers. It offers the 'bandwidth option ranging from 70 MHz to 300 MHz, and a 10-bit ADC that enables high-resolution signal acquisition. The device supports sample rates up to 2.5 Gsample/s and includes a 10 Mpoint memory (expandable to 20 Mpoints). The oscilloscope is available in 2- and 4-channel models, both of which are
MSO-ready, thus enabling the addition of 16 digital channels. Standard features include a 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator, segmented memory for capturing up to 13,000 segments, and a large 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen for intuitive operation.
The new R&S®RTB 2 oscilloscope is MSO-ready, which means no additional license is required to use the 16 digital channels. This enables seamless integration of both digital and analog signals, making it the ideal tool for analyzing mixed signals. All the user needs is the RTB2-B1 option. In addition, the oscilloscope includes a serial arbitrary waveform generator that can generate signals with an output frequency of up to 25 MHz and pattern rates of up to 50 Mbit/s. This generator can act as a stimulus for circuits or emulate missing components, making it particularly useful in educational settings. Users can import waveforms and patterns from CSV files or directly from oscilloscope acquisitions, with the option of adding noise to simulate harsh environments. Predefined patterns are available for I2C, SPI, UART and CAN/LIN protocols, and users can select counters or enter patterns manually. The R&S®RTB 2 segmented memory function allows users to capture intermittent signals, such as laser pulses, serial bus activity or RF pulses, with storage for up to 13,000 segments and a total of 260 Mpoints. Its "history" mode allows users to review past captures even after stopping the device, with full access to tools such as serial bus decoding and automatic measurements. The persistence function overlays all captured waveforms, while measurement statistics track signal changes over time.
